ELECTRONIC TRANSPORT IN Mo / Ni SUPERLATTICES
نویسندگان
چکیده
An experimental relationship between superconductivity, magnetism and localization is explored in short-wavelength (148 G A < 40A) sputtered Mo/Ni superlattices. A crossover to a superconducting state is observed for A < 9A consistent with the observed paramagnetic behavior when the Ni strata are four atomic layers thick, or less. All samples show localization effects at helium temperatures and non-superconducting samples develop an unusual resistance plateau below T = 0.5K.

Oscillations of the transport properties in Ni /Co superlattices
Although metallic multilayers have recently attracted much attention, especially since the discovery of giant magnetoresistance in Fe /Cr multilayers [1], only a small number of true superlattice effects have been experimentally observed. These are the appearance of superlattice Bragg peaks in X-ray diffraction [2], the collective behavior of magnons in magnetic/non-magnetic superlattices [3], ...
متن کاملMacromagnetism and micromagnetism in Ni-Mo metallic superlattices.
The magnetic properties of Ni-Mo metallic superlattices have been examined by magnetization and polarized-neutron diffraction measurements. The samples are ferromagnetic, with an ordering temperature rapidly increasing with the superlattice period A. The saturation magnetization per nickel atom also increases with A, gradually approaching the value of the pure metal. The proximity of molybdenum...

We have observed large discrepancies between the dc magnetization and ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) magnetic anisotropy in Mo-Ni superlattices. We show that higher-order anisotropy is present in both measurements and develop an analysis by which the first-order and second-order energies can be treated independently. The low-temperature results show a systematic divergence of the first-order FMR...

The topological insulator/normal insulator (TI/NI) superlattices (SLs) with multiple Dirac channels are predicted to offer great opportunity to design novel materials and investigate new quantum phenomena. Here, we report first transport studies on the SLs composed of TI Bi2Se3 layers sandwiched by NI In2Se3 layers artificially grown by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). The transport properties of ...
متن کاملSuperlattice effect in the transport properties of Ni/Co multilayers
The low-temperature transport properties of Ni/Co superlattices were systematically studied. While the resistivity, anisotropic magnetoresistance and anomalous Hall coefficient oscillate as functions of Co and/or Ni layer thicknesses, the ordinary Hall coefficient does not. These oscillations are interpreted as a true superlattice effect, since they disappear when the number of bilayer periods ...
